What is the hazard to the battery if the method is incorrect during the first charging?
Is the incorrect method harmful to the battery during the first charge?
The purpose of initial charging of the battery is to produce pbo2 on the positive electrode of the battery and sponge PB on the negative electrode. The initial charge directly affects the actual capacity and service life of the battery. For different types of batteries, the initial charging requirements are different. When the battery is assembled in the accumulator, there is lead sulfate on the board. In addition, during storage, a part of PbO is generated from the negative electrode PB, which is caused by self-discharge.
During the storage of the battery, due to the change of the ambient temperature, the battery has a breathing process. When the battery is heated, part of the air in the battery will be discharged from the battery casing instead of as expected In that way, the outside air will be sucked into the battery. This cyclic breathing will bring moisture to the battery. If the storage period is too long, the self-discharge of the battery will be connected to each other under the action of water to form dense and thick particles. Generally, the injection hole of the battery is sealed with a metal film at the factory to prevent or slow down damage. It is generally stipulated that the time from the date of departure to the opening of the box shall not exceed one year. If the original is stored in a good dry state and there is no moisture intrusion, storage for two years will have no effect on the quality of the battery. If compared with the batteries with low temperature and high humidity in the south, the damage degree of the batteries is completely different during the same storage period.
After opening the battery box, first check whether there are cracks in the upper cover of the casing. If there are cracks, the epoxy resin can be firmly bonded and repaired. If you do not check at the beginning, once the electrolyte is injected and cracks are found, the loss will inevitably recover, because:
1. The broken part of the battery shell is corroded by the electrolyte and cannot be cleaned with clean water. The surface of the adhesive layer cannot meet the requirements of the adhesive repair process. 2. When the electrolyte is injected into the battery, the electrode plate reacts, and the battery is vulcanized during the bonding process, which is irreversible with ordinary charging methods. When the battery is placed in a well-ventilated workplace and filled with the configured electrolyte, the lower the temperature of the battery, the better, and the higher the temperature of the electrolyte will cause damage to the battery. The plastic separator and casing in the battery are easy to replace. PVC plastic separators will intensify their reduction at high temperatures, release chloride ions, and damage the battery panels. Since the plate alloy of the battery is mainly a lead-antimony alloy, high temperature will cause the alloy to crystallize thermal dislocations and reduce the corrosion resistance of the alloy, so the operating temperature of the battery is usually specified below 45°C. The lower the temperature of the injected electrolyte, the lower the temperature of the battery, and the less likely it is to cause thermal damage to the battery. Contact: 18038382979
