  Solving the early failure of battery capacity in Dongguan


   After the battery fails, two important technical indicators that directly affect the internal quality of the battery, such as the increase of internal resistance and the rise of terminal voltage High, insufficient capacity and obvious decline in performance are two important technical indicators that directly affect the internal quality of the battery. That is, the discharge capacity of the battery and the cycle life of the battery. Polarization voltage and memory effect are two important factors that affect the formation of battery sulfate. Polarization voltage is the reverse voltage caused by the accumulation of charge on the battery electrodes during the charging process. In fact, the internal resistance of the battery has increased. The effective way to eliminate the polarization voltage is to eliminate the reverse polarity charge accumulated on the electrodes at both ends of the battery through negative pulses, and eliminate the memory effect through multiple charge and discharge.


   In order to avoid mixing early failure batteries in the battery pack, a secondary discharge test should be carried out before the new battery is put into use, that is, the 10-hour discharge rate and voltage of 1.80V (relative to 2V battery). Then fully charge the system and put it into operation. If the terminal voltage of each battery before the end of discharge is not much different and relatively uniform, then the performance of this group of batteries must be good; if the voltage of several batteries drops quickly, it is likely to be behind the battery, we must find out the reason, And take corresponding measures.


   When low antimony or lead calcium is used as the grid alloy in the battery plate, the capacity of the battery in the initial period of use (about 20 cycles) suddenly drops, causing the battery to fail. Almost every cycle the battery capacity will drop by 5%, the capacity drops faster. Check and analyze that the positive plate is not softened, but the positive plate capacity is very low. When this phenomenon occurs, the factory’s solution is:


   The main results are as follows: (1) Deep-cycle batteries use 1.5%0.2% tin content grid alloy;




  (2) Increase the assembly pressure;


  (3) The electrolyte acid content should not be too high.


   Matters needing attention in use:


  (1) Avoid continuous low initial charge current;


  (2) Reduce deep row;


  (3) Avoid overcharging;


  (4) Do not increase the battery capacity using active materials.


   The recovery method of the early capacity loss of the Shenzhen-1 battery is as follows: the initial charging current is increased to 0.3C/0.5C, then a small current is charged, and the charged battery is discharged to 0V , The current is less than 0.05C. When the battery voltage reaches half of the rated voltage, the discharge will be slow, so that the capacity of the battery can be restored several times.
