Why Should You Charge the Batteries at Least Once Every 6 Months?
Time:Dec 05,2024
During storage, UPS batteries undergo self-discharge. Based on a remaining capacity of 50%, the storage duration at 20°C is 16 months, at 30°C is 10 months, and at 40°C is 6 months. Generally, for every 1°C increase in temperature, the storage duration decreases by approximately 0.5 months, and the interval between supplementary charges shortens.
Therefore, it is recommended to perform a supplementary charge every 4 to 6 months when stored in an environment between 20°C and 30°C to prevent excessive self-discharge.
