Summer Usage and Maintenance Guide for Lead-Acid Batteries
Time:Aug 08,2025

Charge Wisely in Hot Weather
Avoid charging lead-acid batteries in high-temperature environments, as excessive heat can reduce battery lifespan. It is recommended to charge batteries in cool, well-ventilated areas using professional charging equipment.
Control Battery Discharge Properly
Recharge the battery promptly after use and strictly avoid over-discharge. When the battery level drops below 30%, recharge immediately to prevent sulfation caused by deep discharge, which can shorten the battery’s service life. Also, keep the battery surface dry and clean to avoid self-discharge caused by moisture or dirt.
Carefully Inspect Battery Connections
Regularly check that battery cables are securely fastened to ensure safe and reliable connections. If any foreign matter is found on cable surfaces, promptly clean any oxidation from screws and connection points. Loose screws may generate sparks, potentially leading to serious incidents such as battery cap explosion or terminal damage.
Store in a Safe Environment
High summer temperatures require batteries to be kept away from heat sources and never exposed to direct sunlight. The storage area must be dry, clean, and well-ventilated. Implement protective measures against heat and moisture. Storage temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 40°C. If the temperature exceeds 40°C, use fans or air conditioning to effectively reduce heat.
