The E60 Highway is currently the largest and most important infrastructure project in Georgia, stretching from the eastern border with Azerbaijan to the western port city of Batumi, with a total length of approximately 14.72 kilometers. It is the "artery" connecting the east and west of the country, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour once completed. It is reported that once fully operational, the new E60 will become Georgia's highest-standard international highway. The project will significantly alleviate traffic pressure on the existing sections of the E60, greatly shorten passenger and freight transportation time between Tbilisi, Batumi, and Poti, create employment opportunities, and play a crucial role in establishing Georgia as a key transportation and logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia, promoting the internationalization of the local economy, tourism, culture, and trade.
